Please review these policies with your child. Core classes include Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts. In addition, in order to be promoted to 9th grade, students are required to pass 3 out of 4 core-area classes. Based on our Code of Conduct, any 8 th grade student who is suspended within 30 days of the Moving Up Ceremony will not be permitted to participate in this event. Proper behavior is expected of each student throughout the school year. More specific information regarding the ceremony ( mandatory rehearsals, location, dress code, etc.) is on the reverse side of this letter. In order for our 8th grade students to attend and participate, they are required to pass all subjects. Our Moving Up Ceremony will be held on Friday, Jat 10am. Despite all of the obstacles and challenges, they have shown tremendous growth and we are looking forward to celebrating with them at our Moving Up Ceremony.
